Reading Group 2: ‘My heart is full of the secret’, two reading groups with Gwen Dupré

Join writer and researcher Gwen Dupré for two online reading groups thinking through themes of desire, submission, and how falling inextricably in love manifests in writing and personal narrative. The groups form part of a wider public programme accompanying Ashleigh Fisk’s exhibition, ‘I will live many years in this room’ and are inspired by Fisk’s work and Gwen’s own written contribution to the project.
For the second session, participants will look at ‘Lovebug’ (2023) by Daisy Lafarge, and ‘Story of O’ by Pauline Réage (1954). The extracts will be shared with participants before the group and pre-reading and familiarity with the texts isn’t necessary. This workshop is free and open to all but please RSVP via outsavvy by following the link in bio. Participants are welcome to drop into one or both of the sessions!
