MAN UP, the biggest and boldest Drag King battle in all of Europe is BACK!

It’s time to explore our glorious KINGDOM once again, this time at THE DIVINE, Dalston’s queer hotspot.

Join us for Season 8 as we throw down the gauntlet and search for our heroic new leader over a muscle-bound 8 weeks.

Expect to witness show-stopping talent including performance art, comedy, song, spoken word, clowning and, of course, lip-synching! The winner will be awarded £1000, but as always, the contest is a great springboard for new talent to perform at The Divine and the grand finale at The Clapham Grand!

Each week we invite performers, journalists, Man Up Alumni, and celebs to judge and celebrate the contestants along with your hosts Chiyo & Cyro, who will preside over the proceedings.

Please note: there is very limited seating so arrive extra early

ACCESS:

Sadly, The Divine is currently not fully accessible.

The heats for Man Up will be in the basement club space because we do not have a licence for performance in the main bar which is on the ground floor. There will be approx. 20 seats for customers and competitors to watch the show. The rest is standing only.

There are 17 wide steps with slip resistant treads down to the space with sturdy handrails either side. There are two steps up to the stage.
