About Magic Lantern…

Magic Lantern Cinema club is a DIY community project run out of BOARC (Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre). Magic Lantern is a monthly Sunday event that encourages conversation around important topics through the medium of film, dinner table friendships and an alternative cosy community cinema experience!

Theme of the Month: Sappho & Friends

In addition to a collective viewing of a film (chosen by you!) centred around the theme we will also cook together communally and share a meal at our big kitchen table!

How It Works

• Buy a ticket online or pay on the door (limited capacity so book ahead of time to avoid disappointment)
• Arrive at BOARC for 4PM, Sunday 24th March
• Popcorn & Voting! Choose your film from 3 mystery blurbs, and watch together in our cosy Magic Lantern Cinema Room
• Communal Cooking & Kitchen Table Debrief
• Event Close at 8PM
