Our life drawing classes are suitable for all artistic abilities and everyone is welcome, especially beginners. 

The class combines short poses and longer poses with our instructor giving you directions on drawing methods that will help each artist build their technique from drawing to drawing.

Our classes are small and intimate in a beautiful studio with stage lighting provided by the Omnibus Theatre.

PLEASE NOTE:

We launch our tickets for the following month on OutSavvy on the 15th of each month.

FEBRUARY-MARCH 2024 LIFE MODELS

We host a different life model for each class, we post our model announcements on our instagram page each Monday for the coming week, follow us to keep updated! ✨@redartclub_✨

ALL ART MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED

These are; an A3 Canvas board with sugar paper, graded pencils, erasers, coloured pencils, soft colour pastels, compressed charcoal sticks, felt tips, and oil pastels. 

Please feel free to bring your own materials if you would prefer to. 

BLOCK RESERVATIONS FOR GROUPS

If you’re booking as a group and want to sit together please email admin@redartclub.art with your names, group size and booking reference to reserve a block of chairs together.

ITINERARY

• 7:30 – 8pm During the first half of the session we will focus on quick poses, building upon each pose with a different drawing technique suggested by the instructor.
• 8pm- 8:15pm A fifteen minute interval to socialise and to grab another drink, you can redeem your 10% discount at the bar from the interval by showing the bartender one of your drawings.
• 8:15-8:45pm During the second half of the session we will build upon the first half by focusing on longer poses.
• 8:45pm- 9pm A chance to have a look at other sketches around the room and to chat to other artists in a mini art exhibition. 
• After our class ends Your 10% discount at the bar continues which can be redeemed by showing the bartender one of your drawings 🥂

WHO ARE WE?

Red Art Club was founded in April 2022 as a socialist art club.

Why ‘Red’ Art Club? Because of the socialist red… duh…

We create a space for absolutely anyone to explore and develop their artistic practice. Our classes are priced below the threshold of any other art class in London while still giving access to professional instructors and the best art materials. We also exclusively host our classes in arts institutions to help contribute to building the art community around London. 

London is a lonely place and being an artist can be even lonelier. Red Art Club was set up to create a community that empowers each other to create beautiful art and a more beautiful, friendly, inclusive, welcoming future for society. 

On top of life drawing workshops we run monthly lino printing workshops and monthly sculpture classes at the Omnibus Theatre, Clapham Common as well as monthly pop up art gallery socials.
