Queer Arts String Group

July 22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm BST

QueerArts String Group:

A super-friendly string ensemble with inclusivity at its heart providing a fun, supportive, and relaxed learning environment for anyone who wants to play an orchestral string instrument!

Whether you have never seen a violin before, had a few lessons in the past and want to take it up again, or are a well-seasoned fiddle player, we’d love to welcome you into this wonderful group of individuals with a whole range of musical experience in an easygoing creative space. Repertoire has previously included anything from film music to folk tunes, rock songs to classical pieces, all chosen and tailored to fit the group’s particular interests and skills.

BYO string instrument if you have one, or we also have a select number of instruments available to borrow! To enquire about borrowing an instrument or for any other QueerArts String Group related questions please do not hesitate to reach out to Hannah or Em (or both!): hannah.exton@yorklgbtforum.org or emlawler.eml@gmail.com
