ForageAid: Foraging for Beginners

July 21 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm BST

Join the Pals of Palestine for a fund-raising event with a difference!

During this three hour foraging for beginners event you can expect to learn: how to identify, the benefits of and how to use/cook plants such as: wild garlic, garlic mustard, cow slip, hawthorn, plantain, 3 cornered leeks, you may even see some mushrooms. NB The types of plants we see will depend on what is available on the day and where we forage.

Date: Sunday 21st July starting at 13:30
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: Adults £20, Under 17 £10
Location: Rossendale area, exact location to be finalised 24 hours before.

Note the terrain will be uneven and likely include hills (it’s Rossendale!) and muddy narrow footpaths (it’s been the wettest winter)! Therefore this event is not suitable for wheelchairs and crutches.

Please wear walking boots or other similar footwear, and suitable clothing for the weather.

For people travelling on public transport we can arrange pick up and drop-off at Rawtenstall Bus Station or Accrington train/bus station.

Refreshment will be available on the day, ie tea/coffee with biscuits (vegan included).

Any questions just ask. palsofpalestine1@gmail.com
