Breaking Points

July 20 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST

In this workshop we will explore and discuss the tensions and push & pull of tending to needs – both ours and others, in the caring work that we do. Daniel Regan is a visual artist & Creative Health expert. Daniel’s creative practice involves both digging deep into his own mental health lived experiences, and the experiences of others within his socially engaged practice as a facilitator. In much of Daniel’s work he is interested in telling personal stories about what it means to feel how we feel, and what it means to be human. The work can be difficult and complex whilst simultaneously rewarding and a privilege. Daniel’s interest in relational work and the politics of care comes from his interest in how we sit with, witness and honour our own and others’ painful experiences. As a young carer, and someone who has been cared for, Daniel is interested in not only how we support and care for each other, but honouring the impact that caring work has on our emotional and physical health.
