We’re finally launching the butch bar & diner event of your dreams!

• Butch servers bringing meals to your table. 
• Performance as you eat: similar to a drag brunch but with more of a late-night diner vibe. 
• A playlist full of lesbian anthems, old and new. 
• Decor made by butches/ dykes who love us. 
• Boot-blacking stand by Butch Boots. 
• Cheap pints at the bar, with a tipped table service option! Includes alcohol-free options. 

Booters is a night to celebrate all butchness, with food, art, drinks and drag. The organising team are all dykes, majority identifying as butch and/or trans – including trans women and trans men. We’re so hyped to show you all a hot time at our own butch bar & diner, made by and for our community!

KEY INFO

The space will have a dining area with room for about 40 people at a time, and then a bar area and outdoor seating. The hot food will be served in two seatings by our butch servers, with performance as you eat.

We want this community space to be available to butches even if they can’t pay for a meal out, so we have a pay-it-forward scheme for anyone who wants to subsidise a meal for a butch on no/low income. We will be making these £5 meal options available 72 hours before the event: so if you’re hoping for one, just check back again around 6pm on the 28th of June <3

We will also be welcoming d¥kes who have eaten/ plan to eat elsewhere to hang out in the bar and catch the vibes that way 🙂 RSVP for a free ticket – getting Booter Bucks to tip performers is still encouraged but not mandatory!

BOOTER BUCKS

The servers will be paid for their work, but tips are always appreciated! You can buy “Booter Bucks” as an add-on, and on the night we will give you paper “cash” equivalent to the amount you buy so you can chose who your Booter Bucks go to. We will also try to sell some on the night but since this is our first event at this venue, we’re not sure how easy this will be so buying in advance is safest!

You can exchange 6 Booter Bucks for a table-service beer/Guiness/wine/ single shot with mixer (or only 5 Booter Bucks for an alcoholic-free option). This will mostly cover the cost of your drink but server will get to keep approx. £1 per drink as a tip/service charge. If you want, you can always opt out of the Booter economy and just get your drinks at the bar – sadly the venue does not allow us to operate a table service unless drinks are paid in advance, which is why we came up with this system to deliver the authentic butch server experience!

OUR BUTCH SERVERS

Please note that while our name parodies an infamous restaurant, we take the approach that all expressions of butchness are sexy. Our servers are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel butch which may or not be revealing.  That said, our lead server will be giving a certifiably sexy butch drag king performance – keep an eye out for our line-up announcement! Each of the servers may have different boundaries/ comfort levels/ different ways of expressing themselves as a “hot butch”. Do not touch any of our servers without consent, and respect if they decline to perform a service outside of serving food/drinks even if given a tip.

ACCESSIBILITY

The venue will have a ramp at the entrance all night and is step-free throughout inside! Bathroom is not fully equipped for access but can be reached step-free, we will be sharing photos to Instagram.
