Peter Tatchell: Can we reach Mission Zero? Yes we can!

July 27 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm BST

Peter talks about the history of LGBTQIA+ sexual health struggles: from reforming the stigma of traditional ‘VD’ clinics, to battling AIDS in the 1980s and the current quest to end HIV and improve sexual health services, in the context of rocketing non-HIV STIs and cuts in funding. Peter Tatchell has been campaigning for human rights for 57 years. He’s been involved in 3,000 protests, been arrested or detained by the police over 100 times and been subjected to more than 300 violent assaults by homophobes and far right extremists. Formerly a leading activist in the Gay Liberation Front 1971-75 and OutRage! 1990-2011, he is currently the director of the Peter Tatchell Foundation: www.PeterTatchellFoundation.org
