Gender, Sexuality & Anti-Colonialism Struggle from Britain to Palestine
July 31 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm BST
In this interactive workshop, co-developed with Palestinian scholars and activists, we examine the concepts of intersectionality, feminism and queerness in relation to Palestine. Through growing our understanding of feminism and queerness in relation to Palestinian society, we aim to de-exceptionalise Palestine, and locate it in a wider context of global liberation struggles, to develop a dexterity when approaching feminism, queer liberation, and Palestine, to situate feminism and queer liberation as anti-colonial struggles, and to build meaningful coalitions with this framing.
